Survey Reveals Most Employees Want to Work with Pam from 'The Office'
MENLO PARK, Calif., April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- We all work with some characters, but which TV character portraying an administrative professional would most people want at their company? More than a quarter (29 percent) of workers surveyed by staffing firm OfficeTeam said they'd choose Pam Halpert from "The Office," followed by Waylon Smithers from "The Simpsons" (17 percent).
These survey findings come in advance of Administrative Professionals Week (April 24-30, 2016), when many organizations honor those in support staff positions.

"There's no denying the charm of Pam and other administrative professionals on TV," said Brandi Britton, a district president for OfficeTeam. "Much like these fictional characters, real-life receptionists, office managers and assistants gracefully navigate a variety of challenging situations to keep the office running smoothly."
Britton added, "Support staff don't always get recognized for their many accomplishments and contributions to their companies. These employees deserve a round of applause during Administrative Professionals Week and throughout the year."
As part of its Administrative Professionals Week celebration, OfficeTeam is offering a free webinar, "An Insider's Guide to Success in the Changing Administrative Profession," on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. PDT.
